Welcome to Gauss AI ("Gauss", "Service"). By using our service, you agree to the terms and conditions described below. Please read them carefully before getting started.

1. Service description

Gauss is a smart financial companion that works through WhatsApp. Using artificial intelligence, the service allows you to:

• Log expenses in natural language (e.g., "uber 28", "lunch 35 dollars")
• Receive automatic categorization of your spending
• View financial summaries and history
• Share financial tracking with family members

2. Eligibility

To use Gauss, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a valid and active WhatsApp number
• Agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy

3. Registration and start of use

Use of Gauss begins when you send the first message to our WhatsApp number. By doing so, you:

• Accept these Terms of Use
• Consent to data processing as described in the Privacy Policy
• Automatically start the 14-day free trial period

4. Free trial period

Gauss offers a 14-day free trial period from the first interaction. During the trial, you will have access to all features of your chosen plan. At the end of the period, you will need to choose a plan to continue using the service.

5. Plans and payment

After the trial period, Gauss offers the following plans with monthly recurring billing in US Dollars (USD):

6. User responsibilities

By using Gauss, you agree to:

• Provide truthful information about your expenses
• Not use the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
• Not attempt to access other users' data
• Not overload the service with automated or mass messages
• Maintain the security of your device and WhatsApp account

7. Service limitations

• Automatic AI categorization is approximate and may not be 100% accurate
• The service depends on the availability of WhatsApp and AWS infrastructure
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability
• You are responsible for the final verification of your financial records

8. Intellectual property

All content, technology, brand, design, and algorithms of Gauss are the exclusive property of Gauss AI. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service
• Reverse engineer the system
• Use the "Gauss" brand without prior authorization

The financial data you record remains yours. You may export or delete it at any time.

9. Termination and cancellation

You may cancel the service at any time:

• By sending "delete my account" via WhatsApp for immediate deletion
• By contacting us at support@gaussapp.com

Upon cancellation:

• Your data will be deleted in accordance with the Data Deletion Instructions
• We recommend exporting your data before deletion (send "export my data" on WhatsApp)
• Deletion is irreversible

Gauss may also suspend or terminate your account in case of violation of these Terms, with prior notification.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Gauss is not liable for financial decisions made based on information from the service
• We are not liable for losses resulting from temporary service unavailability
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the last 12 months

11. Data protection

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD - Law 13,709/2018). You may exercise your rights as a data subject at any time.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via WhatsApp with a minimum of 15 days' advance notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by Brazilian law. The Court of Ribeirao Preto/SP is elected to settle any disputes arising from these terms, to the exclusion of any other, however privileged it may be.
